About Our Founder: Maurice (Moe) Larkin

Mr. Squid’s Cleaning Services was founded by Maurice Larkin, a nine-year U.S. Navy Veteran. In his time with the Navy, Maurice worked hard as an undesignated Deck Seaman until he was promoted to Logistics. Maurice learned the ins and out of thorough and deep cleaning during his time in the Navy. He continued to use that skill in his civilian life, working in a VA hospital doing cleaning services, sanitizing operating rooms, patients rooms, and various offices throughout the facility. 

Maurice graduated from College of New York. After witnessing many veterans down on their luck, he saw an opportunity and enrolled in business courses courtesy of New York University’s Veteran Future Labs for entrepreneurial training. There, Maurice acquired the skills and knowledge to launch his own sole-proprietorship cleaning company. He aims to hire veterans and support the community. 

Maurice also believes in providing affordable rates for local small to medium size businesses. His main priority is to save clients’ money and time while using products approved by the EPA.
